The shops v.2 – Cantu skatepark

Me and Guli headed down from Val Senales and had a day in Como and then we headed to Cantu and teamed up with Fabri at the Malas Store. Then we got in the var and drove to the Cantu skatepark. A sick skatepark with lots of local rippers. Such a good evening, just mellow, drinking beer, eating pizza and having a good time with good people!

Thanks to Malas shop, Scullcandy, Guli, the skaters and the rest!

While waiting for my tram, these people entered a bus..

As I said, I took the tram.

We were not the only ones out this Sunday, here at Aker Brygge…

We took a pitstop at the pier in the hot sun, having a beer.. a great afternoon. I feel Bernts smart (norwegian) words sums it up:

Morten got hurt, thats the simple truth here. He fell and got hurt, for real. Of course, trying a bs dub10 on a small melted out hip with a bad landing might not be the smartest thing. But you might call it a spur of the moment!

Thankfully, it was the second last day, so now Morten knows that bs dub rodeo 9 should come easy next winter, and so will cab dub 10, but will come back to that later. Now, here is the pain, the glory, and the rest:

Summer in Val Senales v3.0

First day on the mountain and Jarle, Morten and Stig are strapping in, getting ready for a 3 hour session after the lifts closed. Such great weather and a great little session. The riding was mellow, a soft start on the Val Senales weeks.
- 25 degrees C*, soft snow, nobody riding, lots of water and snacks, a good rail and plenty of riding-days ahead! Yeah it was pretty good! (Photo: ABAmble)

The Gentlemenriders does a great job with the Val Senales park. This little resort has one of Europe’s best parks and by far the best atmosphere! We were hitting the down rail while the shapers from F-tech did their magic. (Photo: ABAmble)

The next few days the weather continued the same way, sadly i hurt my back the second day, causing me to lay in bed for three days, but no stress, when i got back up on the mountain I could take pictures and film, and after a few days I was back on it, taking it easy, but at least riding! Jarle, Morten and Stig was riding together with all the others, having fun in the summer-slush of Val Senales/Schnalstal. Simon Gruber quite a few others was riding hard, but the park was never crowded, and I dont think we waited longer than 5 minutes in the line a single time, thats including the lift stopping. So, in other words, you can ride your own pace and choose the elements you wanna hit without having to wait and be scared of tourists. The park is closed off and there’s not that many “strangers” dropping by. Well, Morten smoked a kid in the landing one way, but things happen!

The park is quite compact, but there is a lot of features, and it can be combined. We visited Val Senales on the warmest summer ever, so it melted pretty hardcore, but still it was tons of fun. They reduced the number or jibs a little, just so they could keep the remaining one even better. Boxes, kinks, rails, 10cm pipes, 50cm pipes, taps, bonks, hips, roll-overs, step-up, tables, step-down, banked jumps and more entertained us pretty darn good anyway!

Skate mini-edit DVS/RWT

It is pretty simple, DVS Italy and Rookie World Tour visited Val Senales the same weekend, and the riding was pretty darn sick!

This is a mellow little edit. The skating was far from mellow,
actually it was really impressive, but the setting was real nice and calm up in the mountains among the cows.

The Gentlemenriders knows how to create atmosphere, something that also probably influenced my filming. The Forst brewery is not far away from Val Senales and we gotta support the local business!

Props to the riders, the Rookietour, DVS italy, Gentlemenriders, Fakieshop and F-tech!

Sketchbook update v.6.1

So here comes the second update from the Italy v.6-series!

This time the sketch is a little bit more fine-tuned and detailed. And, there is just something about those feminine shapes that is kind of appealing. Or, just really appealing. Guess that is just how it is.
